To get accurate measurements, lay the jacket (preferably one you love) flat on a hard, even surface, then smooth out any wrinkles as much as possible.
Width : place the ruler starting from the bottom of the sleeve (under the armpits) and measure across to the other sleeve.
Height : measure from the highest point of the shoulder (top of the collar) down to the bottom of the jacket.
